ULLR FEST
Pronounced “ooo-ler” – this winter festival in Breckenridge is like no other! According to Norse mythology, there was a God of winter and snow named Ullr. Each year, the town of Breckenridge pays him homage with a week long festival and tips their viking caps in hopes of a great snowy season.
This action-packed festival is back for it’s 56th year in a row, and includes the rowdy Ullr Fest parade, the World Record attempt for the longest shot ski, a town bonfire and, or course, Viking helmets galore. Over 12,000 people attend this event each winter and they always come back smiling.
