Santa Teresa and Mal Pais are a pair of towns facing the Pacific Ocean, nestled into the coastal mountains of the Nicoya Peninsula, touching the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve. Santa Teresa is a small, but fast growing town, known for some of the best surf spots in Costa Rica, with long, white-sand beaches and beautifully curved and consistent waves. We are just minutes away from shops, grocery stores, restaurants and bars.

Additional Information About Rental Rates:
In order to secure your room we require you to provide credit information as a deposit.
We will not charge your credit card unless you cancel your reservation.
We charge the 100% no show ups and for days not used resulting from late arrival or premature departure.
In case of a cancellation, notice must be received in writing by email or phone call - 30 days prior to the arrival date.
For cancellations received 20 days prior to the first day of your reservation you will be charged 50% of your total bill. Full payment will be charged for cancellations made less than 5 days prior to arrival date.
There are NO REFUNDS for Christmas/New Year's bookings from Dec. 21st to January 5th
All "group (8 people and more) reservations require 50% wire deposit at time of booking (no refund accepted).
We charge the total amount of your reservation upon arrival, unless you made a deposit.
We do not accept payment with credit cards or travelers checks on place, cash only dollars , or the equivalent in Costa Rican colones at the time of payment.
Wire transfers must be previously arranged with our Reservation Department.
Responsibility/Loss or Damage to Property
The Funky Monkey lodge is not responsible for any loss of or damage to personal equipment and/or property during your stay with us, or during your participation in any of our arranged activities including but not limited to any loss or damage to vehicles or property contained within such whilst parked in or entering/leaving the premises. We will not accept any responsibility for any delay, additional expense or inconvenience which may be caused directly or indirectly by events outside our control such as late arrival of international or domestic flights, civil disturbances, fire, flood, unusually severe weather, acts of God, acts of government or failure of any machinery or equipment.
IMPORTANT
Food is not included in accommodation price and must be paid in the restaurant before check out (preferably the day before).
We offer open bill on your convenience. You can also ask to sign your daily food bill.

We invite you to our beautiful beach Lodge for, couples, families or groups, situated on the top of a natural rock hill, in the middle of a private jungle. You are welcome to engoy our amenities as swimming pool, bar and restaurant - set back from the main street for peace and quiet, in a tranquil setting of the Nicoya Peninsula. Our lodge is only 200m from the beach and famous surf areas.
Dispersed throughout our tropical garden are AC ocean view apartments, private cabanas for couples, families or small groups.
There is fully equip communal kitchen for our guests, with a view over the treetops out to the endless ocean.
We also offer several packages with full board - whether you prefer to learn how to surf or prefer a yoga class in our yoga studio, we have it all!
