Description of the Hinesburg vacation Cottage Rental 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathrooms, 6 Sleeps

This pleasant cottage overlooks Lake Iroquois, just a short drive from Burlington, Vermont's largest city. There are two bedrooms, but if there is not a need for a lot of elbow room, sleeping space is expandable, including a sleeping loft and a comfortable futon couch in the living area. Our lake frontage is down a short slope, with path and wooden steps. It is pleasant for swimming, though the bottom is rocky rather than sandy. (If you prefer a more beach-like access, a public beach is just a short dive away.) Our frontage also includes a small dock and a canoe for your use.

The cottage has a full kitchen, including dishwasher. It is fully furnished, including sheets, towels, dishes, cookware, etc. To be sure that guests won't have to pack a lot of stuff or shop for supplies right away, we even stock the fridge with enough food for a couple of breakfasts.

The cottage is heated and insulated, though we offer it mainly as a three-season rental, for spring, summer, and fall. During the peak summer period, reservations are limited to full weeks only, but at other times we can make it available for shorter stays, with a mimimum of two days.

Rental Rates for Vacation Rental Cottage in Hinesburg, Vermont

Additional Information About Rental Rates:

Reservations

Minimum deposit of $100 for reservation up to a week, additional $100 for any additional week or portion thereof. We request that you do not make a reservation until you are quite sure of your travel plans, as cancellations are difficult in our situation and our policies are necessarily quite strict.

Pets

This is a pet-friendly cottage. Owners, of course, must take full responsibility for their pets and any damage they may cause. Please do not leave a dog in the cottage while you tour the sights if will be barking all day and annoying the neighbors. That said, a great many guests bring their pets, and we have almost never experienced problems with them.

Notes to the Accommodation and Amenities :Unfortunately, the cottage is not accessible by wheelchair. It is accessible by folks with somewhat limited mobility, as one can drive right to the door of the cottage (except during snow season, when parking is farther away). The path to the lakefront is short but fairly steep. For those who cannot easily make that walk, it is also possible to drive to our lake frontage, though the route is somewhat roundabout.

Notes to the Attraction :Note--There are a great many recreational and cultural activities nearby to the cottage--the ones checked are popular, but almost any activity you can imagine in Vermont is accessible from this area.

Location of Hinesburg Vacation Rental Cottage

Area Information :

The cottage is three miles from Hinesburg Village, which has all the basics of a pleasant small town--a supermarket, drug store, nice library, churches, a couple of restaurants, etc. About 15 miles away is Burlington, with its colleges, cultural events, diverse restaurants, etc. The rural settng of the cottage and proximity to Burlington affords a unique balance of Vermont's rural and more urban attractions.

The lake is good for fishing, including smallmouth bass, northern pike, and a variety of other fish. Its small size (about three miles by one mile) it is calmer and warmer than the nearby big lake--Lake Champlain.

Many of our guests have business or planned social events in the Burlington area, and find the cottage a great place to stay and to expand their Vermont stay, visiting attractions such as the Shelburne Museum or Lake Champlain cruises.
