Our 2-bedroom, 2-story condo is in an association just above the entrance to ski beech- ~ 1/8 mile away. There is a fireplace with firewood provided by the owner. There are views to the black diamond slopes off each of the 10x12 decks. There are a variety of activities including skiing that is less than a one minute drive away from the parking area at Ski Beech. If you prefer, there is Sugar Mountain, Ski Hawksnest, or Appalachian Ski Mountain. Anything you'll need is there to have a good time so do not bring a thing except your skis, boots, coats, and food. The Beech Mountain vacation rental includes a large washer and dryer, an iron and ironing board if you choose to dress up, but casual dress is okay at all establishments. There are a few sleds to take to the top of the mountain to enjoy the sledding area by the Chamber of Commerce or if snow has fallen, you can sled at the association.

There are walking trails nearby, Coffey Lake, Grandfather Mt is within 10 minutes, Wildcat Lake off Hickory Nut Gap Road, Valle Crusis and the Mast General Store, etc. In the summer time, enjoy use of the swimming pool, tennis courts, and golf at the Beech Mt. Country Club.
There are wonderful restaurants that are very reasonably priced such as fine dining at Jackaloupe's View and Lousisiana Purchase, and Stonewalls, dining at Banner Elk Cafe/The Lodge, Corner Palate, Vassarelly's, The Bayou, Dunn's Deli, Toyko Japanese Restaurant, Fireside Grill at the Best Westen, Los Arcoiris, and Zuzda's (Tapas Restaurant) at the bottom of Beech Mt.
